This tour covers the history of Russia from the Middle Ages to Putin and Gorbachev, taking you to the places where the the country’s destiny and the fate of its people were decided. A thousand years will unfold before you, from the grand Catherine’s palace in Pushkin to the coast of lake Ladoga, where epic battles were fought throughout the centuries. In these intense 3 days you will see all of the city’s main sights, have time for shopping, travel through the Russian countryside, and get a deep insight into Russian history and culture.

14:00 Russian Revolution Tour: Field of Mars memorial to the revolutionaries, KGB Headquarters, monument to the Victims of Political Repressions, (outside views)

Visit to the Peterhof Fountain Park and Gardens – The summer residence of Peter the Great, also known as the Russian Versaille, this estate features meticulously maintained gardens and a collection of gold statued fountains that is unlike anywhere else in the world. The Grand Cascade (the park’s centrepiece) contains 64 fountains alone, with the Samson statue at its centre shooting a powerful jet 20 meters into the sky.
