Schwerin Palatial Walking Tour

Head to the nearby town of Schwerin on a regional train to see its beautiful and historic castle. On this tour you will experience everyday German life as you travel by regional train between locations, take in the beautiful countryside, and enjoy authentic German food and beer during your relaxing lunch break. Depending on whether your ship docks in Warnemünde or Rostock, you will additionally have a brief glimpse of one of these seaside towns, time permitting. This tour is very active and requires a lot of standing and walking.
The tour is well suited for people who prefer exploring by foot rather than bus, and wish to stay closer to the ship at the port.
It is not suitable for those with mobility restrictions or who tire easily.

| 09:00 : 10:30 | S-Bahn (train) ride to the Rostock main station (only necessary if docked in Warnemünde), a streetcar ride to the new Market Square to see City Hall, a busy pedestrian area, and at least the inside visit of St. Mary's Church, one of the famoust brick cathedrals of the Baltic (on Sundays cause of Holy Services not possible). The highlight inside is the presentation of the old astronomical clock functioning since 1472. |
