Amsterdam Highlights & Zaanse Schans Windmill Village 6h Private Tour
We will discover Holland's most charming village at Zaanse Schans after a short panoramic drive north of Amsterdam towards the green fields on polders. Our walking tour through the historic green-timbered houses and canals to a working windmill is the highlight of the famous Zaan area, where once some 600 windmills were active at the same time.
Cheese-making is also an old Dutch guild and a visit to a local dairy farm offers an opportunity to attend a cheese-making demonstration aside from the delightful experience of cheese tasting.
After enjoying some free time, we will return to the beautiful capital of the Netherlands and tour the idyllic architecture of city mansions, countless canals and amazing views from the famous museum district to the historic city center. Walking tour highlights are the St. Nicholas Basilica and Amsterdam's main square, the Dam.
